Simina Vasilache

Dr. Vasilache is an experienced Computer and Information Science faculty member with a strong background in program management and curriculum development. With over a decade of experience at ECPI University’s Northern Virginia and Innsbrook campuses, she has managed faculty, adapted curriculum, and advised students while teaching adult learners and developing training material.

Dr. Vasilache has a research background centered in Biomedical Signal and Image Processing, supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation, which has provided her with a solid foundation, together with years of teaching have provided her with a solid foundation in areas such as programming, Linux, TCP/IP, and Cisco routing and switching, as well as expertise in VMWare, Wireshark, security fundamentals, and cloud computing foundations.

As a lifelong learner, Vasilache earned a Ph.D. in Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University and holds certifications such as CompTIA Security+, EXIN Agile Scrum Master, NVIDIA DLI (Fundamentals of Deep Learning, Applications of AI for Anomaly Detection), and SimNET Platform Yellow/Purple Belt (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Dr. Vasilache continues to demonstrate her dedication to teaching excellence by becoming certified as a Higher Education Professional.
